Just happened upon this diner while on a drive. Had the most delicious home made cabbage rolls with home made pita served up warm. Portions were generous. A real delight! Finished off with home made apple strudel. A winner! Devoured the cabbage rolls before I could take a picture.
Hidden Gem ? Great quaint diner. Delicious food and amazing service. Quick and great pricing. Close to the Durham Forest Hiking trails and perfect for an after hike meal. All day breakfast is always a winner.
I live over an hour away yet this is one of my favorite diners in ontario. You really wouldn't expect much from somewhere so hidden but the food and service is next level. Worth the drive everytime
I walked in, prior to my tee time at Wyndance. There was only 1 lady working, which is fine.. The place was filled with smoke, no ventillation. No eye contact or greetings as I walked in, so I just found myself a seat. I sat down for a few mins, the lady is busy doing something else.. I got myself a menu. I ordered a Reuben and fries, about $20 before hst. Wasnt given water with the meal, had to ask for one. Meat in Rueben was like collected leftover crumbles, instead of meat slices. It had no melted swiss cheese either (or maybe there was..). The server seemed nice to other local patrons, heard her having laughters and good conversations with them. I guess she just didnt like me. Half way through my meal, I finished my water.. the server doesnt care. At this point, I didnt bother to ask for more.. Left without leaving a single cent. Ill probably never visit this place again..
The dying art of the greasy spoon lives here. The food and decor fit the bill. It’s a nice reprieve from highly commercialized breakfast restaurants. Fast and friendly service and met my expectations from when I walked in the door.
If your looking to get ripped off I highly suggest you come by here. You'll be so happy to know that every single aspect of this restaurant is not only about cutting corners microwaving and being cheap as possible. Buy a griddle and do better! Much respect from the cannabis community
An early morning visit to Clarington Vet had me in search of a good diner. The vet tech said nothing around. I beg to differ. Not 9 minutes away is Coppins Corner Diner attached to the Shell station. If this isn’t small town I don’t know what is. This place had a great diner menu with all the classics but loads of specials including homemade pies and cakes. The sausage were split on my breakfast which is always good for brownie points. All eggs were cooked to perfection. Service is very friendly as you should come to hope for in a small town diner. Eggs Benny with Salmon got a massive thumbs up. Near Clarington. Have a good time. They also have a wicked patio.
