I love an independent bookstore. It's always interesting to see what the owners decide to buy and promote. I was not disappointed by this one. What a delightful adventure! The staff went into the back to look for a book that I was interested in as they had sold out of the ones on the floor. The gleam in her eyes as she produced it made the purchase even more delightful. I left with three books and a moose sign.
Great little book store. If they don’t have in store it can be ordered for quick delivery. The store holds some fantastic events throughout the year and really has a great sense of community. It also helps being connected to the coffee shop for a quaint small town shopping experience. If you check out the book club page you will find a great list of books to read!!! I have gone through about 6 so far and whoever is picking these books, does an amazing job. They are aligned to my taste in books perfectly.
Lovely staff in a warm, cozy enviornment. The ironline ordering makes for a simple and easy way of purchasing books in a timely manner. Looking forward to my next visit!
So, you walk into a bookstore and you see a book that you’re interested in and you buy it but you have no relationship with the bookstore or the bookstore owner… Blue Heron is not like that Immediately you will feel as if you have found home, the creaky floors & all the thoughtful displays of interesting new books… draw you in (the smell of coffee wafting in from next door) Lost treasures, poetry, books that will inspire, & take you on an Adventure oh and a good pile of Bruce & Barack’s Renegades … My birthday is soon…
We love this book store! If they don't have something in stock they will do their very best to order it. Everyone who works there gives great advice, and their programming is always top-notch.
I won't buy a book really anywhere else. It's just easier and more friendly to go into Blue Heron. They have pretty much anything, and will do their best to get it if they don't have it. My nephews absolutely loved getting the Mr. Man and Little Miss books and we ordered quite late in the month too but arrived on time for Christmas. Fantastic! We also get a lot of our Tarot items here.
Great selection of books and exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful staff! They are always ready to recommend books and have yet to miss the mark. I would recommend this bookstore to anyone!
